How many Pages is 500 Words?

The beauty of a Word document is that you can choose the font size of your texts in whatever way you want. Microsoft Word gives you many other customizable options as well, but let’s stick to font size for now since this blog is concerned with how many pages on MS Word are 500 words? If you simply start from the usual format of text size, then with the size of 12 in Arial or Times New Roman font your 500 words article can take up one page (when single-spaced) or two pages (when double spaced).

Needless to point out that with increased font size, page count also increases.

People from all classes of academics use word files for writing. For a 500 words article, options for the main topic could be almost anything. Living in the digital world, a blog, virtual script, online fiction stories anything could be of 500 words limit. Although the word limit need not be strictly the same, for the ballpark figure this number sounds appropriate.

How to stick to 500 words limit?

Although the exact word limit is not that necessary for high school essays or college-level summaries, when it is required to write ONLY 500 words, it is always useful to stick to the word limit. How to do that? It is simple.

Divide your article into four main sections: title, introduction, body, and conclusion. For more words, you can add more content.

Title: Not more than 6 words. The title is what attracts attention to your content. Try to keep it short and straightforward.

Introduction: Not more than 100 words.

Body: Try to keep the word count for the body of your write to fewer than 350 words. Give sub-headings, use tables and use bullet points to explain the context of your writing piece.

Conclusion: Not more than 60 words.

It may sound difficult at first and you might struggle to write with correct word count, but you will get the hang of it with practice and time. Additionally, you can check the word count on MS Word via its dialog box. One of many wonders bestowed by Microsoft!
